When booking your AAT Exam with Accountancy Learning:

Payment terms  and using discount codes

The fees displayed on the booking system includes the AAT exam fee and the admin/invigilation fee.  

All exam bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking via debit/credit card. If you require a VAT receipt once the exam has been paid, please email [email protected]

If you are an Accountancy Learning apprentice or on the StandardPLUS package (all inclusive), make sure that you use the coupon code that was given to you upon enrolment to get 100% discount on the exam fees. If you do not know or have not received your discount code, please contact us on 01392 435 349 or email [email protected] before booking your exam. No refunds will be provided if you forget to apply your discount code at the checkout. Please note that we monitor our codes and discounts very careful to avoid fraudulent use of them.

Exam Booking details

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the information provided (DOB, AAT Membership number) is correct and accurate. If this information is incorrect or your AAT Membership is not up to date, will not be able to book you in and your exam may need to be cancelled. 

If you are booking a Synoptic assessment, you should refer to the AAT’s Synoptic calendar before booking your exam. It is your responsibility to ensure that you book your exam for the correct week. No refunds will be given if you make a mistake and the alternative date provided by us does not suit you. 

We are an EPA approved examination venue, so we can accept external candidates for the EPA Synoptic. It is your responsibility to mention that you are sitting an EPA Synoptic. 

If you book your exam for an evening slot, please note that the duration of the exam  should not exceed the 2 hours, unless previously agreed with us. If you book a long exam in the evening (Level 3 or L4 Synoptic and the majority of Level 4s), your exam will be moved to the next available date. 

Cancellation Policy

AAT Exam and Invigilation fees are non-refundable once a booking is made, even if you decide to cancel your booking well in advance. These fees will also be lost if the candidate does not attend their agreed exam date and time; this includes fees payable to the AAT.

You can amend your booking up until 10 days’ before your exam date, free of charge. If you wish to amend your exam outside of the 10 days’ you will need to re-book your exam for another session and pay another exam fee. Exceptions to this may be granted at our discretion if you are unwell and/or have been asked to self-isolate.

If you an Accountancy Learning apprentice, you can cancel or amend your booking up to 72 hours prior your exam, or you may receive a £48 admin/cancellation fee. 

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel or rearrange your exam, we will notify you as soon as possible and you will be offered alternative dates at no extra cost.

Using a third party software

If you are an Accountancy Learning student, please note that we provide access to Sage Business Cloud software, Sage 50 or Xero. 

If you are an external candidate and you wish to sit your Level 2 Using Accounting Software (UACS) on Sage Business Cloud (previously known as Sage One), please note that we do not automatically have access to this software. Please make sure that you contact your training provider and ask them to send us your examination login details prior your exam date. If we do not receive your login details we will have to cancel your exam and the fees will be lost. If you are not attached with a provider, please get in touch as we may be able to provide access to Sage Business Cloud for a fee. 

We have Excel 2016 available in Exeter, Excel 2007, 2010 and 2013 in Plymouth and Excel 2016 in Taunton.

It is the students’ responsibility to check the version of any third party software used within examinations.

Exam support / extra time for exams

If you have special requirements, need support or extra time for your exams, you will be required to provide us with evidence for the AAT, which will need to be sent to us prior sitting your exam. Evidence needs to be sent at [email protected] by quoted your booking reference at least 3 weeks in advance to allow us sufficient time to contact the AAT.
